What is li hybrid?

Li hybrid, also known as lithium hybrid, is a type of hybrid car that uses a combination of a gasoline engine and a lithium-ion battery-powered electric motor as its power source. The battery in a li hybrid is much smaller than that in a plug-in hybrid or electric car, as it is intended to supplement rather than replace the gasoline engine.

Li hybrids are designed to achieve better fuel economy than traditional gasoline-powered cars, as the electric motor assists the gasoline engine in propelling the car forward. When the car is stopped or traveling at slower speeds, the electric motor can sometimes be used exclusively, resulting in emissions-free driving.

Compared to other hybrid types, li hybrids typically have a smaller battery, which means they have a shorter range and cannot be driven in pure electric mode for very long. This, however, makes them less expensive than plug-in hybrids or electric cars.

Some popular li hybrid cars include the Toyota Prius, Honda Insight, and Hyundai Ioniq.
